We left our kids at home with Daves parents this past Monday and drove down to the Willamette Valley to do some pinot noir wine tasting. We had a great time together. We stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast outside of Dundee, ‘The Black Walnut Inn’- it reminded me of Italy. The house is built in a very classic mediterranean, european style with a courtyard that you drive into. There are vineyards around the home and it sits on top of a hill. When the sun shone through on Wed you could see Mt. Hood and Mt. Bachelor in the distance. It was beautiful. It was quiet. They made this amazing breakfast every morning. There were people that we met from all over the states: Texas, Florida, Massacheusetts….It was fun to eat breakfast with different people in the morning and just ask questions 🙂 I like doing that. I enjoy hearing other peoples stories. We drove around each day and tasted lots of different pinot noirs, interacted with more people (heard more stories), ate yummy lunches and dinners and just had fun together. One night at dinner I toasted Dave, not for any specific reason, just to toast life, and celebrate and be thankful 🙂
